PET Film Properties & Applications
Polyethylene terephthalate, polyester or PET film is either biaxially oriented or bubble extruded – and one of the most commonly utilised substrates in the converting industry.
Preferable to many other thermoplastic polymers due to its outstanding balance of properties, polyethylene terephthalate film is not just equal but frequently superior to alternative thermoplastic substrates in terms of:

PET ITO Film
Diamond Coatings’ indium tin oxide coatings (our Diamox & Diamox+ ITO coatings) are highly conductive and transparent, as well as boasting excellent chemical & environmental resistance – i.e. they show no evidence of coating adhesion/sheet resistance reductions or optical degradation when subjected to MIL STD 48497 testing (thermal/humidity cycling & salt spray).
Applied to PET films, these coatings maintain the films’ transparency while simultaneously making their surface conductive – making ITO coated PET films the perfect solution for 21st Century display & communications applications including, among others:
