Currently Available Diamond Coatings ITO Substrates

Diamond Coatings can produce Indium Tin Oxide coatings on a wide range of ITO substrates including various types of both rigid & flexible plastic and glass.

Plastic ITO Substrates

Diamond Coatings currently offer ITO plastic substrates including:

Polycarbonates – Available with/without anti-glare or hard-coat coatings, polycarbonates are a group of easily machined and coated thermoplastic polyesters. Widely used within modern manufacturing, these substrates boast a range of interesting properties including optical properties and both impact and temperature resistance.

Offering different polycarbonate grades with flame retardant and other properties, we can also supply these substrates with anti-glare finishes suitable for a wide range of applications, as well as adhesive tapes and gaskets to enable easy bonding to display cases.

Acrylic – Also available with/without hard-coat/anti-glare coatings, acrylic substrates are harder and offer greater scratch resistance than polycarbonates. Further scratch resistant properties may be added together with anti-glare coatings.

Resembling glass but boasting properties that makes them in many ways superior to glass (the main advantage being weight, as acrylic is significantly lighter than glass), our acrylic substrates are hand-made and invariably inspected to exceptionally high optical specifications.

DIAMET ITO Coated Films – In addition, we offer a range of ITO coated films on substrates including polyester, polyimide, polypropylene, and polycarbonate. Produced by sputtering alloys/metals onto these flexible substrates, these ITO coated films offer light transmissions depending on the type of substrate used and the thickness of applied coatings.

Available metal/alloy coatings include:

  • Chromium, Gold and Copper
  • Indium Tin Oxide, Inconel and Nichrome
  • Palladium Nickel, and Silver
  • Titanium, TiN and Stainless Steel

Applications include, among many others, electroluminescent lamps, EMI/RFI shielding and flexible printed circuits; medical sensors, membrane switches, optical clear heaters and resistive touch screens.

ITO Coated Glass

Diamond Coatings also offer ITO coated, smooth-surfaced glass suitable for an extensive range of OLED type applications. Using an ion-modified sputtering process, we produce surfaces suitable for deposition of ultra-thin subsequent layers on polished glass substrates including:

  • SL -P-12, 1.1 mm thick soda lime float glass with a 135 nm ITO coating, providing 12 Ohms/sq sheet resistance and 86% transmittance at 550 nm
  • BO-X-20, 1.1 mm thick borosilicate glass with a 100 nm ITO coating providing 20 Ohms/sq sheet resistance and 84% transmittance at 550 nm
  • SL-P-80, 1.1 mm thick soda lime float glass with a 25 nm ITO coating providing 80 Ohms/sq sheet resistance and 86% transmittance at 550 nm

Full size sheets of ITO glass come in sizes up to 400 mm x 500 mm. Depending on the selected type of glass, precision diced pieces ranging down to a minimum size of 10 mm x 10 mm can also be provided.
